AUSLAN Program for Children in Wollert and Epping
AUSLAN is Australian Sign Language, the primary language of the Deaf community across Australia. Our early learning centres in Wollert and Epping introduce AUSLAN to children early because communication skills, social development, and inclusion are real and important parts of every child’s early childhood education.
What AUSLAN Learning Looks Like at Future Leaders Academy
Our AUSLAN program at our childcare centre in Wollert and Epping gives every child a hands-on, age-appropriate introduction to Australian Sign Language through daily activities, songs, games, and guided sessions with our qualified educators. Children learn to sign greetings, express emotions, communicate needs, and connect with others in a new and meaningful way that builds communication, emotional, and social skills every single day.
Communication Skills
AUSLAN builds real communication skills in children at our early learning centres in Wollert and Epping by giving them a second language they can use with their hands, faces, and whole bodies.
Emotional Development
AUSLAN gives children at our Wollert and Epping early learning centres a new way to express and understand emotions when words alone are not enough. Our educators teach emotional development through signing activities that help children name feelings, respond to others.
Social Development
Children who learn AUSLAN at our childcare centre in Wollert and Epping develop stronger social development because they learn early that not everyone communicates the same way.
Inclusion and Cultural Awareness
Our AUSLAN program at Future Leaders Academy teaches children in Wollert and Epping that inclusion is not just a value we talk about, but something we practise every single day. Every child who learns Australian Sign Language develops genuine cultural awareness, a deep respect for the Deaf community, and the understanding that every person deserves to feel heard, valued, and included in our community.
About us
Our AUSLAN Approach
Our highly qualified educators teach AUSLAN as part of the daily routine at our Wollert and Epping early learning centres, so children learn sign language the same way they learn everything else: through play-based learning, hands-on activities, and real daily interactions that feel natural rather than forced. We guide children’s learning by connecting AUSLAN to songs, storytelling, group activities, and practical life activities so every child builds communication skills and social development in a way that genuinely sticks.
Our AUSLAN program is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and meets the National Quality Standard (NQS), giving families in Wollert and Epping confidence that every AUSLAN session supports real developmental outcomes for their child.
