STEM Learning for Children in Wollert and Epping
Future Leaders Academy delivers a hands-on STEM learning program for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years across Wollert and Epping. Every STEM session builds real skills through experiments, discovery, and problem-solving that children carry into primary school and beyond.
What STEM Learning Looks Like at Future Leaders Academy
Future Leaders Academy provides a STEM learning program that integrates science, technology, engineering, and maths into every child’s daily experience through play and real discovery. Our program does not rely on worksheets or formal instruction; it gives children real materials, real questions, and real outcomes to explore every single day.
Future Leaders Academy follows the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) across all STEM activities, ensuring every program contributes meaningfully to each child’s cognitive development, critical thinking, and school readiness. The EYLF guides our educators to ask the right questions, create the right environments and respond to each child’s interests in real time.
Science Exploration
Children are natural scientists. They want to know how everything works and they learn best by testing their own ideas.
Engineering & Building
Engineering is problem-solving in action, and children at our early learning centre in Epping and Wollert develop this skill through building and testing with real materials every session.
Technology & Coding
Technology for young kids doesn't mean screens all day. It means understanding how things work and solving problems logically.
Mathematics in Action
Math isn't worksheets. It's cooking (measuring), building (geometry), sharing (division), patterns (algebra basics), and daily routines (time and sequence).
About us
Our Approach
We don’t separate STEM into scheduled sessions. A cooking activity teaches chemistry, math, and engineering. Building with blocks covers geometry and physics. Planting gardens combines biology and measurement.
Our educators ask questions that push thinking: “What do you think will happen?” “Why did it work that way?” “How could we test that?” We follow children’s interests, if dinosaurs are the obsession this week, we build dinosaur habitats and calculate how tall they were.
Corporate centers often buy expensive STEM programs and equipment to look impressive. We believe curious kids, thoughtful educators, and well-chosen materials create better learning than any packaged curriculum.
Why This Matters?
Children who explore STEM early develop cognitive development, problem-solving skills, and critical thinking that carry them well beyond our childcare centre and into every year of primary school. Our STEM program builds school readiness by giving every child the confidence and independent thinking skills that support real academic success from the very beginning of their learning journey.
These skills matter more than memorizing that 2+2=4. They’ll use them their whole lives.
Join Our Waitlist
Spaces Fill Quickly so secure Your Spot Today
Due to our commitment to small class sizes and quality over quantity, our rooms do fill up. If your preferred days or age group aren't currently available, we encourage you to join our waitlist.
How Our Waitlist Works:
- We maintain separate waitlists for each age group (Nursery, Toddlers, Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten)
- Families are contacted in order as positions become available
- Being on the waitlist creates no obligation, it simply ensures we can reach you when space.
- We update our waitlist regularly and communicate proactively with families
- Waitlist families receive priority notification before positions are publicly advertised
Age-Appropriate Environments
Each room is specifically resourced and arranged to match the developmental stage of the children within it. What works for toddlers doesn't work for kindergarteners, and vice versa. We design intentionally for each age.
Smooth Transitions
When it's time for your child to move to the next room, we handle transitions carefully. We consider each child's readiness, introduce them gradually to their new environment, and maintain relationships across rooms. Moving up is celebrated as an exciting milestone, never a stressful upheaval.
Familiar Faces, Growing Spaces
While rooms change as children grow, the familiar faces and family atmosphere of Future Leaders Academy remain constant. Our small size means children know educators across all rooms, creating a genuine community feel that larger centres cannot replicate.
