Childcare in Wollert, Built Around Local Families

The new estates at Aurora, Lyndarum and Edgars Creek have brought young families into Wollert faster than childcare places have opened. Future Leaders Academy built its centre on Saltlake Blvd for those families. The site sits a short drive from Harvest Home Road and Epping North. Our doors open at 6:30am, which suits parents who leave for the city before the traffic builds.

The Montessori foundation separates us from most Wollert childcare centres. Children choose their own work from prepared shelves. They stay with a task as long as they need it. Practical life work fills the day: pouring, buttoning, sweeping, serving and tidying up after themselves. Literacy and numeracy grow out of that independence rather than replacing it. Most parents notice the change at home before they notice it here. We develop literacy, numeracy, social development, and school readiness so every child walks into primary school prepared, confident, and genuinely ready to learn.

A Day at Our Wollert Childcare Centre

Our early learning centre in Wollert opens at 6:30am, and early arrivals settle with a quiet activity and breakfast before the room fills up. The long Montessori work cycle runs through the morning, which is when children choose their own materials and educators move between them one child at a time. Group time, outdoor play and lunch follow, then rest for the little ones and quiet work for the children who have stopped sleeping. Afternoons bring the enrichment program, so a child might have yoga one day, cooking the next and AUSLAN later in the week. We close at 6:30 pm. Watch our childcare video to see what it actually looks like.

More Than Childcare, Six Programs Built Into Every Week

These six programs run inside the normal week at our early learning centre in Wollert. Every room takes part, and no program carries an extra charge. See everything included in our program.

Language Lessons

We teach Arabic alongside English through songs, games and repetition, which is how young children actually pick up a second language. Many families here speak Arabic at home, so a child keeps that language while building English at the same time.

Yoga & Fitness

Short daily movement sessions build balance, coordination and gross motor strength. They also give a child a way to settle themselves when the day gets too big. Our educators use the same breathing cues later on, at rest time or after a fal

Cooking Sessions

Children measure, pour, mix and serve their own food. The session looks like fun, and it is, but it also builds fine motor control, sequencing and the practical life skills Montessori rests on. Families often send in a recipe from home for the group to cook.

Reading Eggs & Mathseeds

Our older rooms use Reading Eggs and Mathseeds for structured literacy and numeracy practice. The platform tracks each child individually, so educators know exactly where a child sits before they start school.

STEM Learning

Children build, test, pull apart and try again. Our STEM sessions use water, sand, simple machines and cause and effect experiments. We let a child get it wrong, because that is where the thinking happens.

AUSLAN Program

Our AUSLAN program introduces Australian Sign Language early. Pre-verbal toddlers gain a way to ask for what they need before the words arrive. Older children learn that not everyone communicates the same way.

One Centre, Four Dedicated Rooms, Six Weeks to Five Years

Every child grows differently, and we built our Wollert childcare centre around that. We created four dedicated, age-appropriate rooms so every child gets the right environment, the right educators, and the right learning experiences at exactly the right time.

6 Weeks - 2 Years

Rising Leaders

Our nursery follows your baby's routine instead of imposing ours. Sleeps, bottles and feeds happen when your child needs them, and educators log every one in the app so you can follow the day as it happens. The room sits low and open for babies who have started to move, with soft climbing, treasure baskets and sensory materials always within reach.

2 Years - 3 Years

Brave Leaders

Toddlers do real work in this room. They pour their own water, carry their own plate and wipe their own spill. That takes longer than doing it for them, and it builds independence faster than anything else we have tried. Language grows quickly here, and AUSLAN gives a child a way to be understood before the words arrive.

3 Years - 4 Years

Bright Leaders

Bright Leaders is our early learning kinder room in Wollert. Three year olds do their first structured group work alongside self-directed Montessori materials. They move through sensorial trays, early letter sounds, counting and a great deal of practical life. First proper friendships start here too, and those take just as much guiding as the letters do.

4 Years - 5 Years

Future Leaders

Future Leaders is our Wollert kindergarten room, the year before school. Children work on letter sounds, numbers, writing their own name, listening in a group and finishing what they start. By the end of the year a child can manage their own belongings, ask an adult for help and sit through a task. Prep teachers ask for exactly those things on day one.

An amazing centre that feels like family! I cannot express enough how wonderful our experience has been here. Initially, we enrolled my son for 3 days a week, but he was enjoying himself so much—and missing his educators and friends on the off days—that we decided to make the switch to 5 days! The staff create such a warm, safe, and engaging environment. Seeing him so happy and excited to go every morning gives us total peace of mind. Thank you to the incredible team for taking such wonderful care of him!

Would highly recommend to any parent thinking of enrolling- the staff are all incredibly friendly and professional, and there are always a range of activities on for the kids in addition to their curriculum.

We have been with Future Leaders Academy since its commencement, and it has been a fantastic experience. The in-depth guided tour at the start gave us the confidence to enrol our child. The staff are incredibly warm, professional, and clearly dedicated to the children. We truly value their regular updates and photos regarding the children’s activities and development. Our child is showing great progress in their development, and is always excited to see staff and friends. The facility is clean, safe, and offers a wonderful balance of structured learning and creative play. And of course we can’t forget the free catering they offer to parents. I would highly recommend this childcare to any family looking for a reliable, supportive and nurturing environment.

Childcare Centre Wollert

Our Montessori Approach in Wollert

Future Leaders Academy runs a Montessori program, and that changes how a day here actually looks. Children choose their own work from open shelves instead of moving through a timetable an adult set for them. A child who settles into a task stays with it, sometimes for forty minutes, because our educators do not interrupt concentration. Materials sit at child height in a fixed order, so a three year old fetches what they need, uses it and puts it back without asking anyone. That one habit builds more independence than any worksheet we could hand them.

Childcare Wollert VIC

Free Kinder and Funded Kindergarten in Wollert

The Victorian Government funds kindergarten for three and four year old children, and eligible families pay nothing for those kindergarten hours. Future Leaders Academy delivers its kindergarten program inside long day care, so your child gets the funded kinder hours and a full day of care in the same room, with the same educators, on the days you already book. No separate drop-off, no second run across town at midday.

What You Get

Come and See the Centre Before You Decide

No website shows you what a centre actually feels like. A tour runs about twenty minutes, and we hold tours during program hours, so you see the rooms with children in them rather than empty and staged. Bring your child along. Most parents decide while watching how our educators respond to them. Every room is age-appropriate, every material is carefully prepared, and every routine supports your child’s cognitive, social, and emotional development.

On the tour you meet the educators who would work in your child’s room. You see the outdoor space, the Montessori shelves and the room your child would join. Our team gives you a straight answer on availability and fees for the days you need. Book a tour online or call the centre on (03) 9067 9949.

Child Care Subsidy and What You Actually Pay

Future Leaders Academy holds approval as a Child Care Subsidy provider, so most families pay only a share of the daily fee. Your share depends on combined family income and the hours of care you qualify for. The government estimator rarely matches what a family ends up paying in practice. Send us your days and we will work out your real out-of-pocket cost before you commit to anything. Read more about the Child Care Subsidy.

Enrolment runs in four steps. You book a tour, confirm your days, complete the enrolment form online, then bring your child in for a settling visit before their first full day. Our team checks that your Centrelink details link correctly, because that is where most families get stuck. Start your enrolment or book a tour first.

The Kindergarten Year and What It Prepares

Our kindergarten program in Wollert provides children with the solid foundation they need before primary school begins. We focus on literacy, numeracy, social skills, and independence inside a structured but child-led learning environment where every child develops at their own natural pace. School readiness is not an afterthought; it is built into every session, every activity, and every routine we run.

Children also work on letter sounds, name writing, counting and early number sense through Reading Eggs and Mathseeds, and the platform tracks each child individually. Our educators write a transition statement for every child leaving us and send it to their primary school. That prep teacher then starts the year already knowing your child.

Daycare in Wollert That Fits Real Work Schedules

We offer flexible daycare in Wollert that suits working parents, part-time schedules, and every family situation in between, without compromising on quality. Our long day care program runs across the full week, so your child always has a consistent, familiar routine and a nurturing environment they can rely on and feel safe in every single day.

Our daycare in Wollert includes meals, nappies, wipes, sunscreen and all learning materials, so no family packs a lunchbox or chases a supply list. Availability changes by age group. Check with us before you fill anything out, and contact the centre to find out which days are open.

Advanced Child Development

Qualified Educators and the Standards We Meet.

Every educator at Future Leaders Academy holds a recognised early childhood qualification and a current Working with Children Check. Each one trains in the Montessori approach we run, which is not something an educator picks up on the job. We keep educators with the same room instead of rotating them, because a two year old settles for a face they know.

Our programs follow the Early Years Learning Framework. ACECQA assesses the service against the National Quality Standard. A SunSmart policy applies to every outdoor session. Enrolment follows Victorian immunisation requirements. Our chef manages allergies and dietary needs child by child.

Cognitive & Social Development

Children work in mixed groups on tasks that need turn taking, negotiating and waiting. Those skills decide how a child's first term of school goes. Our educators step back and let a child solve the problem before they step in.

Qualified Educators You Can Trust

You will know your child's educators by name within a week. They write the daily notes. They know what your child ate and how they slept. They are also the ones who talk to you at pick-up.

Emotional Development & Motor Skills

Toddlers here try things that look too hard for them. They carry a real jug and use a small knife on soft fruit, with an educator beside them. Confidence comes from being trusted with real work, not from being told they did well.

Fully Compliant, Fully Transparent

Our fees, inclusions, policies and rating stay open to you before you enrol. Ask for the menu, the daily routine or our ratios in your child's room, and we will show you.
